About

6 Generations of Farming

It’s taken us a long time to get to become one of the most productive farms in the area. All that fruit just keeps coming and we love it!

Read through our history, meet farmer Dave, and the rest of the crew, including the animals. We hope you’ll see that we love what we do. And, we love sharing together!

History

For over 150 years, our farm has been in the business of growing. Since 1848, it has been owned and operated by the Green’s, passing down through the family developing these hills into one of Broome County’s most productive farms.

It’s taken a long time…

In 1920, we began our orchards by planting 40 acres of apple trees. We added strawberries in 1930, storage in 1942, and blueberries in 1972. Today, our lands are filled with some of the best that nature has to offer! When in season, we offer fresh vegetables, blueberries, raspberries, sunflowers, and pumpkins, and over a dozen varieties of apples in our Big Red Farm Market.
